The Dinners With Love Program partners hospice agencies and local restaurants to care for hospice patients and their families by providing free, delivered meals.
The vision is to have successful Dinners With Love Programs operating in as many hospice agencies in the United States (and beyond) as possible.
The support of friends, family, and sometimes strangers can help those facing an end-of-life transition. The Dinners With Love Program provides an opportunity for organizations, restaurants, and individuals to quietly offer a helping hand. It is not just a meal to a hospice patient and their caregiver but a system that supports and nurtures them during the most vulnerable time of their life. It brings them community support and love in the form of a meal.
We will all face the death of loved ones and the end of our own life. This deep connection we share—the universal participation in the cycle of life—moves us to acknowledge our shared humanity through helpful action.
The Dinners With Love Program strives to improve the quality of end-of-life care for patients and their families. During a difficult time we hope to lighten the load of those who are passing and those who are close to them.
