Board of Directors
Sheri Sullivan, Founder & President
In 2003, chef Sheri Sullivan, the former owner of Sheri’s Diner and Plan-It Sheri Catering, became a hospice volunteer. She soon began donating meals to hospice patients and their families in her community. Inspired by the difference these meals made, she was moved to create a model that could be replicated in any hospice agency nationwide. She reached out to other local restaurants and chefs, and with their help and the help of friends, started Dinners with Love, Inc., in 2009.
Catherine Wall, Vice President & Treasurer
Catherine Wall is the Office Manager of the Brandon branch of the National Bank of Middlebury. She has been a banker for 30 years. She grew up in Vermont, spent six years in the Air Force after graduation, and lived in California for 20 years before returning to the beautiful green mountain state more than a decade ago. She currently serves on the Brandon Area Chamber of Commerce board. She enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Jenn Brown, Interim Secretary
Jenn Brown is a freelance editor, writer, and educator. She is a former managing editor at the Omega Institute and associate editor at Fine Gardening magazine. She writes about nature, meditation, and spiritual practice at Pockets of Stillness. A veteran gardener, she also works as a garden coach to help others learn how to listen to nature and become more intimate with the land on which they live.
Frank Finnerty is a happy-go-lucky, retired guy who likes to motorcycle and kayak in the nearby Green and Adirondack Mountains, and sometimes way beyond. His continuing mission: to seek out new worlds, new people and civilizations, to boldly go where no one has gone before.
Karen LaFlamme has worked for Middlebury College in numerous roles since 2009. She is currently enjoying her newest undertaking as Marketing Manager for Dining Services, and is also able to offer support in their various retail locations on campus. Her 30 years of restaurant and events planning experience will come in handy in the years to come as Dinners with Love moves forward with our vision of bringing this valuable program nationwide. Karen also serves on the Board of Directors for the Better Middlebury Partnership, helping with community events throughout the year. Her favorite job is being a mom to her six teenagers; they make sure her spare time is action-packed!
